How to Fix It

Follow these steps in order to resolve the error.

  1. Verify the WorkSafeBC (WCB) claim number entered in your billing software. It must exactly match the number provided by WCB for this specific patient injury.
  2. Confirm that the required report (e.g., Form 8, Form 11) was successfully submitted and accepted by WorkSafeBC. Check your fax confirmations or the WCB provider portal.
  3. Correct the WCB claim number or address the report submission issue. Do not resubmit this claim to MSP/Teleplan.
  4. Create a new invoice and submit it directly to WorkSafeBC through their online portal or by mail with the corrected information.
  5. If you have confirmed the claim number and report submission are correct but the claim is still refused, contact WorkSafeBC Payment Services directly at 1-888-967-5377 for clarification.
