Error J1

High Urgency

WorkSafeBC Report Incomplete

WorkSafeBC has refused payment because the submitted report (e.g., Form 8) is missing required information.

Official Description: (283) WorkSafeBC refused - report submission incomplete, required information missing, work location missing.

How to Fix It

Follow these steps in order to resolve the error.

  1. Locate the original report (e.g., Physician's First Report - Form 8) associated with this claim.
  2. Review the report carefully. The rejection specifically notes that information is missing. Pay close attention to the patient's employer details and the specific 'work location' where the injury occurred.
  3. Complete all mandatory fields on the report. Ensure your physician has signed and dated it.
  4. Fax or upload the corrected and complete report directly to WorkSafeBC. Reference the WCB Claim Number clearly on your submission.
  5. Do NOT resubmit this claim to MSP Teleplan. This is a documentation issue with WorkSafeBC, not a billing issue with MSP.
  6. If payment is not received within 4-6 weeks after resubmitting the report, contact the WorkSafeBC Health Care Provider payment line at 1-800-661-2005 to follow up on the status.
