Error J1
High UrgencyWorkSafeBC Report Incomplete
WorkSafeBC has refused payment because the submitted report (e.g., Form 8) is missing required information.
Official Description: (283) WorkSafeBC refused - report submission incomplete, required information missing, work location missing.
How to Fix It
Follow these steps in order to resolve the error.
- Locate the original report (e.g., Physician's First Report - Form 8) associated with this claim.
- Review the report carefully. The rejection specifically notes that information is missing. Pay close attention to the patient's employer details and the specific 'work location' where the injury occurred.
- Complete all mandatory fields on the report. Ensure your physician has signed and dated it.
- Fax or upload the corrected and complete report directly to WorkSafeBC. Reference the WCB Claim Number clearly on your submission.
- Do NOT resubmit this claim to MSP Teleplan. This is a documentation issue with WorkSafeBC, not a billing issue with MSP.
- If payment is not received within 4-6 weeks after resubmitting the report, contact the WorkSafeBC Health Care Provider payment line at 1-800-661-2005 to follow up on the status.
