The fee code submitted is only payable during specific times of the day, and the time of service on your claim does not match.

How to Fix It
Follow these steps in order to resolve the error.
- Review the claim to identify the fee item with time-based billing rules. This often applies to after-hours premiums or special visit codes.
- Consult the MSP Payment Schedule to confirm the exact time restrictions for the fee item in question. For example, some premiums are only valid between 18:00 and 08:00.
- Compare the time of service you entered on the claim with the fee item's rules. If the time was entered incorrectly, correct it to reflect the actual time of service.
- If the time of service is correct, you have likely used the wrong fee code. Replace the time-restricted code with the appropriate base fee item for a service performed during that time.
- Save the corrected claim and resubmit it to Teleplan.
- If you have verified the fee item rules and still believe the claim is correct as submitted, contact the Teleplan Data Centre for clarification at 604-683-7151.
