How to Fix It

Follow these steps in order to resolve the error.

  1. Confirm the patient's coverage status. Check the patient's file or contact them to obtain their Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) Client Identification Number.
  2. Do not resubmit this claim to MSP. This claim is payable by the IFHP, which is administered by Medavie Blue Cross, not the BC provincial government.
  3. Your clinic must be a registered provider with Medavie Blue Cross to bill for IFHP patients. If registered, submit the claim through the Medavie Blue Cross provider portal using the patient's IFHP ID.
  4. Cancel or write off this claim within your billing software to prevent accidental resubmission to Teleplan. This claim will not be paid by MSP.
