Medium UrgencyIncorrect Weekend/Holiday Billing
A weekend or holiday premium fee was billed for a service that occurred on a regular weekday.
Official Description: Dos was not a Saturday, Sunday or Statutory holiday.
How to Fix It
Follow these steps in order to resolve the error.
- Step 1: Check the Date of Service (DOS) on your claim. Confirm if the date entered was a Saturday, Sunday, or a BC Statutory Holiday.
- Step 2: If the DOS was a regular weekday, the weekend/holiday surcharge fee code (e.g., 0122) is not payable and must be removed from the claim.
- Step 3: If the DOS was entered incorrectly but the service did occur on a weekend or holiday, correct the date on the claim to reflect the actual service date.
- Step 4: After removing the surcharge or correcting the date, resubmit the claim to the Teleplan Data Centre.
